Unfortunately the Scorchers missed out on the title falling to defeat at the hands of a very experienced Mytholmroyd team. The net scores were Mytholmroyd 324 to Sowerby's 288 and the points 8-2 in Mytholmroyd's favour.
Holly Clarke again top scored with the bat amassing 24 runs with Amy Hulme (18) and Hannah Gaukroger (17) also making good contributions.
None of our bowlers were able to beat the Mytholmroyd batters and the lack of wickets meant that our opponents were able to maximise on their run scoring.
Congratulations to Mytholmroyd on their well deserved victory and on taking the league title.
