Royd come out on top in a game that was there for the taking.

Sowerby boosted by the return of skipper Gavin Clarke and long term absentee Jack Leonard (university), were looking to turn their form around but unfortunately came out on the wrong side of a four wicket defeat.
Sowerby won the toss and batted on a hard but green wicket and got off to a good start Younas and Helliwell putting together a 50 partnership before first change bowler Saghir had Younas caught behind for 22 in the 18th over. Leonard was removed without scoring by opening bowler Mahmood, again caught behind by Rauf. Healey was next man in to join Helliwell. Helliwell was next wicket to fall LBW to Mahmood for 58. This sparked a collapse, with Baxter and Watson being removed, caught for ducks and Lennon C+B for 11. Patrick came in and started counter attacking the Royd bowling hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes in his 36 before being caught. Last wicket to fall was Bellenger run out for 2 leaving St Peters 196-9 after their 45 overs. S Mahmood and T Hassan both getting three wickets and A Saghir two.
Royd in response lost an early wicket with Lennon removing Z Mahmood caught by Younas. Rauf snr and opener F Hussain put of a half century stand before Hussain was LBW to Sultan for 58. Quamer came in hit a few fours and quickly disappeared as did H Saghir for 10 and 12 respectively. Rauf was next man out for 36 and Sowerby were in the hunt for victory however, U Hussain came in to hit an unbeaten 47 to see his side to victory with Rauf jnr the only other wicket to fall.
