This weeks under 9's started out with some changes to selection calling in Millie carter, Sam Layson and Alfie Sloane all of which are new players to the team leaving out Luke fletcher, Alexander Smith and Harry Denham.
Captain Harry Clarke won the toss electing to field first, the bowling started off slow but improved as the bowlers settled down, some excellent diving saves by Kate Allen and some lovey stops on the boundary edge from Marley Stoyles.

The second innings the team knew they would have to bat really well to match the 233 scored by Illingworth but set out with high hopes never the less!
The runs rate was slow with the odd wicket in and among, but the last two pairs Millie carter and Milton greenwood, followed by Harry Clarke and Ethan Grogran really showed some lovely shots gaining the score to climb with just one wicket within the last 4 overs.
A defeated Sowerby shook hands with the other team and clapped them off in true sportsman style,after the team talk the player of the week was awarded to Ethan Grogran for an excellent all round performance.
