A massive win boost Sowerby boys!!

An outstanding win for Sowerby under 9s an excellent performance from the team!
Bowling for the first innings with a staggering 9 maidens bowled, two wicket maidens bowled by Alexander Smith and a double wicket maiden from Milton Greenwood also a clean sheet from Harry Denham with a wicket in there as well.
Alfie Slone had a brilliant attempt at a caught and bowled !!
Sowerby were the stronger team in size and ability but we are surely proving that all the efforts in training are really paying off.
After a heavy down pour and a short break we headed out a confident team ready to show off with the bat, and show off we really did Ethan Grogan been the highest scorer knocking of a quick 33 with some lovely shots, Milton Grenwood and Harry Clarke also pulled off some great shots gaining Sowerby to get ahead on the scoresheet, Millie Carter getting her first runs for the season with 5 quick singles.
Luke fletcher returning to the team this week with some great fielding and a some lovely batting, leaving out Kate Allen and Marley Stoyles who will both return next week and it will be someone else's turn to miss out.
