Top of the table clash ends sadly for Sowerby

Sowerby winning the toss opted to field first hoping there luck with fielding first in there last few winning games paid off, but within the first few overs shelf proved this was not meant to be getting a flying head start, A change to the bowling sees Kate Allen take yet another wicket aided by an outstanding one handed catch on the boundary edge from Milton Greenwood, with much elation from the crowd.
Molly Black was next to take the ball doing very well !
Shelf were very strong and confident with the bat and in parts made Sowerby look out of there depth in the field but Sowerby hung on with Harry Denham and Millie Carter throwing themselves all around the field, Milton greenwood stormed in with the next over with a double wicket maiden his third wicket of the match.
The last over of the innings was bowled by Harry Clarke gaining yet another wicket for Sowerby, but sowerby leaving the field at half time chasing a big score they knew it was a big ask.
Sowerby tried hard with the bat with some quick runs between the wickets from Alexander Smith and Kate Allen.
With a swop around within the pairs this week saw Sam Layson pairing Milton Greenwood Sam had a few nice shots but needed more strength to get them further.
A good effort all round but this week Shelf were the better side winning Sowerby by a massive 89 runs.
